Vincent Nobel – Photographer
I am a fine art nature photographer based in Columbus, OH. I spend many hours and days traveling Ohio seeking the beauty of nature in all its forms. Some of my favorite locations include Hocking Hills, Yellow Springs, Columbus Metro Parks, and Cuyahoga Valley National Park. My passion for photography started many years ago when I worked as a landscape designer. This formal design training combined with my new interest in photography allowed me to create images that inspired me to explore the wild areas of Ohio and beyond. Capturing nature’s unique combinations of shape, form, texture, color, and light continues to fuel my passion and desire to hone my craft as a photographer. I spend several days a year instructing beginning photographers through small group and personal workshops around Central Ohio. I am also an adjunct instructor at Columbus State Community College teaching photography courses in the Integrated Media and Technology Department. Dependability and overall quality is what I look for when purchasing equipment. I currently use several Nikon DSLR cameras including the D700 and D7000. A wide range of Nikkor, Sigma, and Tamron lenses allow me to obtain crystal clear images with beautiful color and clarity. Manfrotto tripods, Kirk ball heads and support plates offer rock solid stability without any compromises. I prefer the rugged quality of F-Stop camera packs for keeping equipment safe and secure. Additional equipment includes items by Lastolite, Sekonic, Westcott, PocketWizard, Vasque, Marmot, MSR, LMF, Brunton, Sierra Designs, Mystery Ranch, North Face, Snow Peak, Tactical Tailor, TAD Gear, Black Diamond, Ka-bar, SmartWool, Vargo, Warbonnet, and Wilderness Outfitters Archery. All post processing is accomplished with Macintosh G5 computers, Adobe Photoshop CS3, and many long hours meticulously crafting my photographs.
