Tag Archives: editorial  Chasing Light in Ohio This morning I decided to scout a local natural area for the first time not knowing what I’d find. I was greeted with low lying fog and clear blue sky. These conditions required that I “wake up” and work fast to find the right subject with the right light. Registration Details - Cedar Falls located in the Hocking Hills State Park, Logan Ohio is one of my favorite destinations for hiking and photography. I’m looking forward to more snowy scenes this winter!  I am very honored to have two of my winter landscape photos featured in the Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks ParkScope Magazine. These photographs are both from Glacier Ridge Metro Park in Union County. ParkScope will be available in tomorrow’s issue of the Columbus Dispatch and at your local metro park. Don’t get me wrong – some are very intriguing, but many are just too cheesy for my tastes unless done extremely well. So why not do it the natural way in camera?! Yes, it’s more effort and the results are not always predictable but wait – it is nature right! Plus, the resulting images are always unique. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these two new photos as I continue to expand my vision of the natural world.
