Daisy Fire

Finding interesting and unique subjects is only part of the process when crafting a successful nature image.  The daisy in this image looked like many others I viewed this morning but it was the lighting and background that really made the difference for this photograph.   I carefully positioned my camera to align my subject and background to my liking and added a little light modification via a 20″diffuser and a 12″ soft gold reflector.   I also used a circular polarizer to enhance the overall lighting and let mother nature do the rest.   Finally, I decided on an aperture of F5.6 – just enough depth of field to render the important parts of my subject in focus and to add a little detail to an already gorgeous background.  Finding the right background that compliments your subject can take a lot of time and persistence but I find the results worth the wait!  Thanks for viewing! – Vince
