Macro Fern at Dolly Sods WV
This past week I had a chance to visit the Canaan Valley of West Virginia to photograph close-up and macro images. Rain and hail limited my shooting time along with an aching back! I did manage to make it over to the Dolly Sods Wilderness Area for a few hours. The ridge crest of Dolly Sods forms part of the Eastern Continental Divide and ranges in altitude from about 2,700 feet to 4,000 feet. This plateau offers amazing views of the surrounding area, but I kept my lens focused close and to the ground for the finer details. I hope to make it back this fall with better weather. Here’s a fern I found up on the plateau. Thanks for viewing! – Vince
