10 years of Persistence

I came across an old gallery reception card from long ago. Distance. Time. Quantifying is a matter of perspective. Long to some a blink to others. Nonexistent in geological time. !0 years. A decade today. That day. A cold overcast tapestry of gray above, hints of sun, but little warmth. 10 years ago today. A gallery reception, one of my first after a few years of art fairs. Many people, a reason to shy away. Leaving such environments to be alone. A walk in the woods. Away. After the rain, after the snow. Quiet. This day was different even as i struggled through a dull but ever present pain in my lower back. I found a way to persist to this day. Looking back February 5th, 2012 - High Road Gallery, Worthington, Ohio - a long away but not far…
